BOUAKE CAMP PENAL - 1999
Another container was shipped by FSCO in 1999. That year, it came from Le Havre, France and it contained primarely medical equipement, hospital beds and much needed medical supplies for the prison’s infirmary.
Impatiently waiting for the opening of another FSCO container
After working in the Bouake Prison for more than 6 years and dramatically improving the living conditions inside the camp, FSCO’s efforts came to a halt because of the rebel invasion of the northern region of Ivory Coast. The prison was overtaken by the rebels. The guards, as well as many prisoners were killed the camp fell into the hands of the invaders. |
