A POWERFUL VISITATION

One of the great moments of the Algeria mission, was the conclusion of the two-day seminar I held in the wonderful church of T. O. More than 700 people responded to the altar call as the Spirit of God fell on the place! All the leaders testified that the effects of the event went far beyond the boundaries of the church and even the region. I am expecting wonderful testimonies to come forth, as a result of what the Lord did during those meetings!

ONE TESTIMONY AMONG MANY

I heard testimony after testimony of miraculous encounters with Jesus from the wonderful believers of Kabila. Here is just one of them, from the wife of a T. O. pastor:

“I am a former member of a Marabou family, which are the rulers of the Muslim religion. Personally, I was an atheist and had no interest in religion. Although Jesus didn’t appear to me, I began to see crosses in the most unusual places, until one day, a Christian university student called me on the phone and invited me to his church. I immediately refused. Then I heard what I knew was the voice of Jesus, telling me to go to a certain place, which I did. I found myself in a church, with hundreds of people around. Then as I looked around, I felt impressed to go talk to a man standing by a pillar. He happened to be the Christian student who had invited me, but whom I had never met. When an altar call was given at the end of the service, I was one of the first people to respond.  Jesus came into my life that day and changed everything! I’ve been serving Him with my husband for more than 15 years and have never looked back!”

A NIGHT AT THE RESTAURANT…

As a couple of Algerian pastors and I were having a well disserved dinner at a local restaurant, a well-dressed gentlemen sitting at another table, engaged a conversation with me. He happened to be a medical doctor in search of God. By the end of the evening, he wanted to know what he had to do to be saved! In more than 40 years of serving the Lord, never have I had a total stranger ask me such a question. All I can say is… Only in Kabila!!!

KABILIA PASTORS

You would have to look very hard to find a more dedicated group of pastors that those I’ve met in this predominantly Muslim region of Algeria. Many risk imprisonment and even death for preaching the gospel. Most have to work a job to support their family, but that doesn’t keep them from ministering with passion and incredible results!

A WEEK WITH THE STUDENTS

My mission to Algeria also involved teaching a group of students who are training for pastoral ministry. These were not your regular lectures or teaching sessions. There were times when all we could do, is stop teaching and enjoy the presence of the Lord. Several students came to me and reported that they had not experienced anything like this since they started school two years ago. There are times and seasons for everything under the sun. This was definitely the time for these students to be blessed in a special way. I’m just thankful to have been a part of it!

THANK YOU

I want to thank those of you who have prayed for this mission to Algeria and especially those who have helped financially.

And how shall they preach unless they are sent ?

Rom 10:15

There are many places in the world were Josette and I have been invited to go. However, we only go where God sends us. The Lord has given us much fruit wherever He’s told us to go. But we can’t go unless faithful men and women partner with us and send us out financially. For you that helped, every soul saved, every life changed and every person healed, will go on your heavenly account. For you that didn’t, you will have an opportunity when God sends us yet to another part of the world!
